The leather definitely seems a bit thicker than my other vest from leather collection and the vest also seems to really be more of 3XL than the other too. Great cut: short in front and long in back. I just wish the side lace tie-ups had about 4-6 more inches for wearing over insulated jackets in the cold weather. Other than that, time will tell how long it lasts

I normally wear an XL size, but I ordered with a 2XL size to fit my 6' 2'' 220 pound frame. I'm definitely glad I did! If I got about 15 pounds larger, I would be having to exhale before zipping up.
